PROMPT LIBRARY
AI pixel art prompts, each with the image it made.
Each prompt is quoted word for word from the model maker's guide or a creator's post, next to the output it produced. Open a card for the full prompt.
Pixel art prompts here split between drawing from scratch (15) and turning a photo or a character into pixels (10). 16 of the 25 ask for a sprite sheet or a grid of poses, and 7 name a bit depth such as 8-bit or 16-bit.

How to write prompts for this model
Give the reference one job: the pixel style
OpenAI's style transfer advice is to assign the reference image a role, its palette, texture or medium, and to describe the new subject separately. Its own example takes the style from a pixel-art reference and asks for a new subject on a white background. Source: OpenAI: Transfer a visual style
For a sprite sheet, repeat the character in every frame
OpenAI's advice for a recurring character is to create a reference image first, then reuse it and repeat the defining details in every scene, with the line do not redesign the character. That is what a sprite sheet needs: the same proportions, outfit and palette in each pose. Source: OpenAI: Keep a character consistent
Name the bit depth and the background
Google asks for specific visual details, such as bold lines and colors, for consistent stylized results. In pixel art that means the bit depth, the palette size and a plain background: 12 of the 25 prompts here ask for a white or transparent background so the sprites can be cut out.
